Supermarket giant Asda has appointed leading affinity insurance provider, Hood Group, to launch its new home insurance product working with the Asda Money arm of the business. This appointment follows a competitive tender process.
Hood Group will be delivering its new 3 and 5 star Defaqto rated home insurance products, developed exclusively for Asda customers, giving them greater choice and flexibility over how much cover they take and how much they pay, with the added benefit of home emergency cover included as standard.
As part of the recent appointment, Hood Group will deliver a seamless end-to-end customer solution by providing a fully-branded e-commerce platform with all customer support functions provided in-house including; customer service centre, policy fulfilment, and a sales support team.
Asda customers will be able to build their own personalised quotation by selecting from ‘Core Cover’ types; Buildings, Contents or both – and then choose from Optional Extra cover from gardens to gadgets to suit their own different needs and lifestyles.

Hood Group will be delivering a fully branded proposition. The Group’s modern and agile business systems has enabled them to build a new quote engine designed to drive conversions, plus the fully mobile responsive design will make it even easier for Asda customers to purchase insurance from their smartphone or tablet.
